More concentrated grape bunches, complex in aromas and flavours, are born in the Centennial Vineyards whose grapes create our Carved Wines. They are rare vineyards, because of their age, their varieties and their unique characteristics that allow the production of intense wines full of personality. <\/p>\n

Planted in the heart of the Carved wine area, in the Vidigueira sub-region, these old vines produce grapes from the Alentejo’s most traditional white grape varieties: Ant\u00e3o Vaz, Roupeiro, Mante\u00fado, Diagalves, Lari\u00e3o and Perrum, some of which are almost extinct.<\/p>\n

The production of Talha Wine using grapes from centenary vineyards aims not only to have a very strong identity in terms of aromas, but also to preserve these centenary vineyards and white varieties that disappear in this region: Ant\u00e3o Vaz, Roupeiro, Mante\u00fado, Diagalves, Lari\u00e3o and Perrum.<\/p>\n

These vineyards are set far apart, often with olive trees or other trees in between. They were parts of vegetable gardens and served as subsistence for many families who had several crops on a small space of land. For these reasons, there are not many hectares of century-old vineyards in the region. However, our winery has supported its associates to preserve these vineyards.<\/p>\n

As simple and natural as the production process that gives it life, this is Vinho de Talha!<\/p>\n
