Production and commercialisation of alcohol-based antiseptic gel
This Investment Project aims to install a small production unit for antiseptic gel at the premises of the Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito Winemaking Cooperative (Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito – ACVCA), located in the Industrial Area, in Vidigueira.
Aware of the evolving Pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, ACVCA has initiated all procedures for the registration and production of antiseptic gel.
This Production Unit allowed to meet the needs of antiseptic gel, guaranteeing a regular supply to the various entities.
We currently have a Supply Protocol in place with the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo, we have delivered to the Beja District Fire Brigade Federation (15 fire brigades) and many dozens of IPSS (charity institutions), municipalities, security forces, etc.
All this production, which we distribute entirely free of charge, was produced in a laboratory setting, which hinders responsiveness and implies higher production costs.
On 1 May, we began a new protocol with the Portuguese Red Cross, at national level, so it is urgent and extremely important for us to have safe, effective and efficient production capacity.
With this activity, the ACVCA, as one of the main employers in the Region, has maintained and intends to maintain all of its active jobs, without recourse to layoffs or redundancies, and even hired a new human resource at the beginning of March, which has been essential in the preparation and implementation of the measures of the Contingency Plan under COVID-19.

Investment in the processing and marketing of agricultural products
This Investment Project aims to build a Centre for Analysis and Weighing (Centro de Análise e Pesagem – CAP) to increase the production capacity of the Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito Winemaking Cooperative (Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito – ACVCA), located in the Industrial Area, in Vidigueira.

This Investment Project aims to optimise the production process in order to promote an increase in the final quality of the product as well as reduce the production costs of the Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito Winemaking Cooperative (Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito – ACVCA), located in the Industrial Area, in Vidigueira.

The main purpose of this project is to optimise the bottling process of the winery in order to reduce the loss of time with the alterations and maintenance of the bottling line, to reduce internal bottling costs and also the filling services that were historically requested from companies that provide this service in mobile filling lines, as well as to reduce customer penalties.
