VIDIGUEIRA ALICANTE BOUSCHET A FEMININE CHOICE
VINDUERO/VINDOURO AWARD – VIDIGUEIRA ALICANTE BOUSCHET
Once again our renowned red wine – Vidigueira Alicante Bouschet – wins two medals, this time in Iberian competition: VinDouro 2020.
Gold Medal in Women’s, an evaluation conducted only by female professionals.
Silver Medal, in the evaluation carried out by all the invited international professionals (male and female).
VinDouro is a contest that aims to make consumers and connoisseurs aware of the best Portuguese and Spanish wines, highlighting the winners in the Guide of the Best Wines of Spain and Portugal 2020, which will be available at https://premiosvinduero.com/?lang=pt-pt.
With a cast of about 60 internationally renowned tasters, each wine is tasted by 10 professionals (5 men and 5 women distributed over several tables). This year there were about 1,000 wines in competition, distributed in 11 different categories, of which 52.9% were Portuguese and the remaining 47.9% Spanish.
This competition took place in Trabanca (Salamanca), between August 4 and 6, and proceeded with two types of contests on the wines:

an exclusive evaluation of the women members of the International Tasting Committee.
