Wine Month

We return with the traditional Wine Month between the months of November and December. A set of events taking place over four weekends, related to the wine festival.

This year the “Month of Wine” begins on Saturday the 6th at 5pm with the inauguration of the “Taberna dos Arcos” in Vila de Frades, accompanied by a tasting of the new 2021 carved wine. Also present will be our Choral Group as well as the author of the book “Enogastronomia” Luís Gradíssimo, blogger and wine critic, who will make the first public presentation of his book. Also on this day we are organizing a Wine Dinner that will culminate in a Showcase by Luís Trigacheiro, winner of “The Voice Portugal” and ambassador of our Winery. These last activities require an appointment.

On November 11th we will have the “Magusto na Adega” (Magusto at the Winery), a celebration of St. Martin’s Day that will take place between 5pm and 8pm at our Wine Tourism facility, the Casa das Talhas. With the entertainment of the group “Oh Laurinda” and regional snacks, come taste the carved wine!

On November 26, will be the Launch with tasting of the wine “VDG TANNAT”, which will take place in our Cellar Shops in Vidigueira and Castro Verde, between 3pm and 7pm.

This year the Wine Month activities end with the TALHA DOC event on December 11. This event begins with a conference on carving wine and ends with a show and tasting of carving wines certified by the Alentejo Regional Wine Commission.
