WINERY AWARDED AT THE WINE MASTER CHALLENGE 2020

The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira Cuba e Alvito (ACVCA) returned from the prestigious international competition, Wine Master Challenge 2020, with 6 medals: two gold and four silver.

The wines that received awards in this competition were the Vidigueira Grande Escolha Branco 2017 and the Vidigueira Premium White with the gold medal distinction. The 2015 Vidigueira Grande Escolha Tinto, the 2015 Vidigueira Reserva Tinto, the 2019 Vidigueira Premium Tinto, and the 2018 Vidigueira Signature Tinto all received silver medals.

Also our winemaker, Luís Morgado Leão, got 5th place in the “Winemaker of the Year” category, as well as the ACVCA got the same place in the “Wineries” category.

This year’s edition, the twenty-second, was held in Estoril, Portugal. This XXII Wine Masters Challenge counted with the registration of 3022 wines, which after a first tasting and analysis were reduced to 899 finalists. Among those were the ACVCA wines that returned with, the aforementioned, 6 of the 112 medals awarded during the final ceremony.
