Sines, one of the Portuguese cities with the greatest carnival tradition, already nationally recognized since the early decades of the twentieth century, was again “invaded” by the joy of its carnival on February 23, 24 and 25!

The Sines Carnival – the first to have a nighttime procession – blends the satirical spirit and creativity of the Portuguese, with the brilliance and energy of the Brazilian Carnival, to create a vibrant spectacle. It’s no wonder that every year so many people flock to this 3-day party, filled with fun parades and carnival dances!

Our Vidigueira Antão Vaz watered this 3-day party as the official wine of the Sines Carnival and was present in all the local restaurants. The kings of the Sines Carnival are already surrendered to the freshness and minerality of this wine, and, of course, to the tropical fruit notes so characteristic of this variety!
