Sparkling Wine Vidigueira – Product of the Year of the Terras Sem Sombra Festival

The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito has always been a partner of the Terras Sem Sombra Festival (FTSS).

Over the years, the winery has taken its wines, the traditions of our region, and the culture of our people to the FTSS.

At FTSS 2017 our Vidigueira Antão Vaz was the product of the year. The following year our Vila Alva Centennial Vineyards took this distinction, thus leading to all those who follow the FTSS, to learn about an ancient knowledge, a tradition still alive in our region.

This year the FTSS 2019 elected the Sparkling Wine Vidigueira D.O.C. Alentejo as the product of the year. Made mostly from Antão Vaz grapes, it is a wine that in the mouth is extremely full-bodied and fresh, with a well-marked acidity and a long, persistent finish. It marks the region for its distinction in Antão Vaz, a Portuguese grape variety, from Alentejo and especially from Vidigueira.
