COOPERATIVE WINERY OF VIDIGUEIRA, CUBA AND ALVITO AT VIDIGUEIRA WINE 2019

Vidigueira Licoroso White is the star of the Vidigueira Wine event, organized by the Vidigueira City Hall. With a sweet and velvety flavor, this liqueur should be drunk cold (12ºC to 14ºC), as an aperitif, and goes very well with matured cheeses, jams or regional desserts such as sericaia.

In this edition of the event, dedicated to valuing and dignifying the arts associated with the production of carved wine, the Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito will also give a taste of its recent Vidigueira – Vinho de Talha DOC Alentejo 2018, produced from grapes from century-old vines, and using this millennial winemaking practice typical of the Alentejo, with claims to Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The winery will take advantage of this event to promote its new Wine Tourism project, Casa das Talhas, in its own stand that replicates the concept and architecture of the new space that will open its doors in the third quarter of 2019. With the support of Turismo de Portugal, Casa das Talhas aims to promote and demystify the origins and art of carved wine, a descendant of the Romans and with more than two thousand years of history
