The Americans have become attached to our wines

The Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito was present in Washington (USA) with the Terras Sem Sombra Festival (FTSS), presenting the best of the Alentejo in terms of wines.

The Vidigueira Sparkling Wine being the product of the year of the FTSS, this product of the winery was the company present at all times during this visit, starting with the meals, through the wine tastings, reinforcing the voice of the singers and ending with the meetings.

Our Director of Marketing and Communication, Drª Daniela de Almeida, met at the Portuguese Embassy in Washington with President Robert M. Tobiassen of the National Association of Beverage Importers Inc. a high interest in the wines from Adega.

The Embassy was also the stage for a wine tasting where the North Americans, many Portuguese or of Portuguese descent, were won over by the wines from the Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba and Alvito.

Dr. Daniela de Almeida refers that “Portugal was, for the second time, awarded by the Worlds Travel Awards as the best tourist destination in the World, after having already been highlighted as the best European destination. Our gastronomy is well known, and our wines are part of our cultural identity. Therefore, it was not a surprise to see the room full of Portuguese descendants and North Americans truly interested in our wines, and especially in our grape variety Antão Vaz praised when tasting the Vidigueira Antão Vaz”.
